While creating an exciting and hopeful future in his art, Stu also writes stories of hope and adventure. He has one screenplay complete and is working on his second. "The future doesn't stand still, and in this day and age, a bit of hope can go a long way toward making the future a place we all want to be. Hope is powerful, and we could all use that right now."

Stu Shepherd Signed and Numbered Limited Edition Print "Bf-110 Zerstorer"

The Messerschmitt Bf-110 Zerstorer (Destroyer) of the Luftwaffe enjoyed an impressive reputation when the German conquest of the continent of Europe wrapped up in the spring of 1940, but when it came up against the Royal Air Force's modern fighters and tactics it was found wanting. Designed to escort bombers on long range missions, not long after "Adler Tag" commenced the Battle of Britain proper, loses amongst the Bf-110 squadrons forced the long-range fighter to be escorted by its smaller brother, the Bf-109. The Bf-110 served through much of the war, proving to be an effective ground attack platform, especially at the beginning of the war on the Eastern Front, where opposition fighter strength was often scattered and of poor quality.

Depicted is a Bf-110C-4 from 3./ZG 26 in action on 9 July, 1940. Hurricanes of the RAF have just intercepted the flight of Bf-110s and He-111s near the white cliffs of Dover, with a rousing scrum about to ensue.

Offered are limited edition prints from a 200-print run created and signed by the artist. The image is in brilliant color on highest quality glossy photographic paper (Ilford Printasia) which produces the sharpest and brightest image possible, with guaranteed print life equivalent to litho prints.

All Limited Edition prints are signed and numbered (S/N) by the artist. Limited Edition prints are restricted to a certain number. For example, if 400 prints are made from an original painting, once they’re gone, that’s it. There is no limit to the number of open edition prints of a particular painting. That’s why Limited Edition prints are more expensive — and more valuable to collectors — than "open" edition. Rare objects are more valuable.

All Limited Edition artwork is subject to availability at time of order. Although seller strives to remain currrent as to inventory, seller reserves the right to cancel a sale if item is no longer available at time of purchase.

No copyrights will appear on purchased print.
