Gil Cohen Signed & Numbered Limited Edition Print "On The Deck Over Scotland"

Generations of Aircrews recognize the significance of August 23, 1954 —the first test flight of the Lockheed YC-130, known to those who fly it as the "Hercules." A versatile workhorse of a plane, the C-130 has been used in myriad roles over the years including troop, equipment, and supply transport; electronic communications service; search-rescue missions; spacecraft retrieval; and weather reconnaissance. Today, more than 40 years after its inception, the C-130 can he seen on air bases and in skies around the world.

Internationally renowned aviation artist Gil Cohen pays homage to the "Herky Bird" in his latest painting, "On the Deck over Scotland." Join us on the flight deck of a C-130 of the 135th Airlift Squadron, 175th Wing of the Maryland Air National Guard with the pilot, co-pilot, and flight engineer. Along with two other C-130s, we are engaged in dangerous— yet exhilarating—low-altitude exercises over England and Scotland, flying our aircraft over a cluster of drop zones as quickly as possible. Even in mission, however, we are dazzled by the spectacular beauty just ahead—the cliffs of Mallaig, just south of the Isle of Skye off the coast of Scotland.

This 26.5" by 16.5" print, limited to 650, is signed by the artist.

A Limited Edition print is restricted to a certain number. For example, if 400 prints are made from an original painting, once they’re gone, that’s it. There is no limit to the number of open edition prints of a particular painting. That’s why Limited Edition prints are more expensive — and more valuable to collectors — than "open" edition. Rare objects are more valuable.

All Limited Edition artwork is subject to availability at time of order. Although seller strives to remain currrent as to inventory, seller reserves the right to cancel a sale if item is no longer available at time of purchase.
